But Alhaitham is right. Kaveh hasn't even asked him about his day, yet--it doesn't matter that he texted him all the way up until he boarded the plane. The least he can do is spare a little politeness.

He grumbles a little, because for as sweet as Alhaitham can be to him, he's still given him enough stress ulcers to warrant this degree of petulance--but then he twists enough to rest a hand on Alhaitham's chest, planting a kiss on his collarbone.]

Alhaitham lowers his nose into Kaveh's wet hair and smiles. ]

Right now, though, he's the exact opposite of mad; he melts as Alhaitham's fingers work through his hair, tension steadily draining from his body. He hmphs, but it's a half-hearted effort.]

Not that this place couldn't use more of my help in terms of aesthetics, but that would've been a gift for myself as much as it would've been for you.

If I gave you any more leeway to decorate, the place would be unrecognizable.

[It's not like a birthday or holiday gift, so he's not hell-bent on keeping it a secret. He will tease Alhaitham for being too impatient to wait, though.]

[ After smoothing in the conditioner, he winds his arms around Kaveh and wipes his hands clean underwater.

Then he pulls Kaveh up against his chest, burying one, two, and more small kisses against the side of his neck down to his shoulder. He missed this bickering. ]

I'll make it up to you with dinner tonight.

Oh, now you decide to be sweet. [This is WEAPONIZED FLATTERY AND AFFECTION, he sees how it is. Unfortunately, knowing this doesn't make it any less effective; he lets Alhaitham kiss him with a low sigh before he twists around, looping his arms around Alhaitham's neck. It's not particularly comfortable to sit in Alhaitham's lap in the tub, but he lets his knees slide apart anyway, more concerned with stealing a kiss for himself than with his knees. Now it's his turn to slide his fingers through Alhaitham's hair, dampening the strands.]

Did you make it already? It smelled good when I walked in.

Alhaitham lets his hands rest on Kaveh's hips as he turns around. Once he's settled, he slides them forward until they're seated in the middle of the tub. With both hands, he slowly maneuvers until Kaveh's straddling him with his legs stretched out and his weight in Alhaitham's lap. No knee pain here. Just two dudes sitting in a hot tub.

He returns Kaveh's kiss softly and lets his mouth trail over his throat while Kaveh works on his hair. Both hands rest on the sides of Kaveh's tiny, grabbable waist for now. ]

I did. There's also dessert.

[ Most likely Kaveh's favorite, whatever it is. ]

Although... you did bite me a moment ago.

[Well, he's certainly not going to complain about having more space. He lets Alhaitham move his legs, busying himself with wetting his hands and working them through Alhaitham's hair, careful not to get any water or stray bubble foam into his eyes. Also his favorite is probably Padisarah pudding or rose custard or something like that, most likely very different from Alhaitham's tastes.]

Yes. [He reaches for the shampoo bar.] And?

[It was deserved! So what!]

[ Alhaitham closes his eyes and enjoys it. A cat.... ]

Do you deserve your dessert at all?

[A cat!! It makes Kaveh smile fondly; as he lathers the soap, he rubs soothing circles into Alhaitham's temples and behind his ears. This is one of his favorite Alhaitham expressions--relaxed and comfortable, thanks to Kaveh's efforts.]

It would be a waste if we didn't have it.
